KitchenAid 2-Speed Hand Blender

Love it! I use this KitchenAid 2-speed hand blender pretty much everyday. Over the years I have used three or four other brands of hand blenders, but so far this has been the best work horse for what it does.

Hand blenders are also called immersion blenders or stick blenders.

The stick part sometimes called driveshaft or blending arm of the KitchenAid 2-speed hand blender, is stainless steel and works beautifully right in a hot pot. The motor has enough power when set on the high speed to make smooth nut creams and pastes like hummus without overheating. The size is just right for most blended items I make like salad dressing, dips and nut creams. Regular blenders are too large, making it difficult to get the right consistency with amounts less than 3 cups.

Cleanup is easy with just the blade and the cup. The cord is round which doesn’t trap food particles and is easy to wipe clean with a cloth. Many hand blender cords are flat with a crevice down the center trapping food and making it difficult to clean. The one I purchased did not have all of the attachments that is package has, making it tempting to buy again.
